Tour d’Afrique

Dear friends and family,

On August 22, we're heading off to begin a chapter we've dreamed about for a long time: spending more time with family, friends, and communities across Africa.

We'll begin in Southern Africa, then make our way to Senegal, where we'll spend much of the year close to family. And if all goes as hoped, we may end our travels with some time in East Africa before heading back to Maryland.

One of our biggest hopes for this year is to be fully present for it: to learn, explore, deepen relationships, and make new ones, simply experience life together, and stay open to what unfolds along the way. And we also want to stay connected to all of YOU who are such an important part of our lives.

We haven't quite figured out how we'll share along the way. It may be photos, little notes, stories from the girls and me, occasional longer reflections, or something we haven't thought of yet.
